Our History

1980

Introduced our benchmark product, RubberGard™ EPDM, launching us into the commercial roofing industry. Our first RubberGard EPDM roof was installed and warranted.

 

1983

Opened our first RubberGard EPDM manufacturing plant in Arkansas.

 

1986

Launched and installed UltraPly™ TPO membranes and entered the thermoplastic roofing market.

 

1988

Broadened our product offering with the acquisition of Teltex/ICM. Began manufacturing ISO 95+TM Polyiso insulation with six T.S. Industries plants incorporated into our portfolio.

The first European office is established in Brussels, Belgium. The first EPDM roofing membranes are installed in Asia.

 

1991

Added 45-mil, polyester-reinforced RubberGard membrane to meet worldwide market demand for EPDM.

 

1993

Introduced the QuicksSeam™ Tape System, revolutionizing our accessory product line.

 

1996

Expanded our product line to include self-adhered base systems.

 

1999

Introduced UltraPly TPO and opened our first TPO manufacturing plant in South Carolina.

2006

Attained a thermoplastic membrane manufacturing plant in Alabama and a product distribution center in Ohio.

The Eastern European Technical Center opens in Bratislava, Slovak Republic.

 

2012

Built Global Technical Center in Indiana (US), representing a major investment in innovation and featuring capabilities for compounding and prototyping innovative new products. 

 

2014

Acquisition of EPDM producer Giscosa near Barcelona, Spain.

 

2015

Developed SecureBond Technology that adheres across the entire roofing membrane, establishing the most powerful bond possible and saving time.

 

2019

Opening of our PIR insulation factory in Heinsberg, Germany.
