ENGINEERED FOR FLAT ROOFS

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

HIGH-TEMPERATURE STABILITY

ISOGARD AK boards have been carefully formulated to remain stable, even at very high roof surface temperatures.

DIMENSIONAL STABILITY

The microcell structure of ISOGARD AK makes it dimensionally stable under harsh roofing conditions.

HIGH COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH

ISOGARD AK boards do not get soft or compressed during or after installation.

WALKABILITY

ISOGARD AK boards offer good walkability and resistance to dynamic loads.

SUPERIOR THERMAL PERFORMANCE

ISOGARD AK offers the same thermal performance as thicker and/or heavier insulation materials.

DURABILITY

If installed correctly, ISOGARD AK will last for the lifetime of the building.

ROOFING SYSTEM COMPATIBILITY

Lightweight and easy to install, ISOGARD AK boards are compatible with most roofing membranes and systems. They can be used over plywood, concrete and metal roof decks, both on new-build and refurbishment projects.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY

PIR boards are one of the most sustainable roof insulation choices available today, saving more than 100 times the energy it is used to produce them. ISOGARD AK’s foam technology uses a HCFC-free blowing agent with a low Global Warming Potential (GWP) and zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP).

INSTALLATION

ISOGARD AK boards can be installed using fasteners and plates or approved insulation adhesives. They must be protected from moisture during storage and until the roofing membrane is installed.

Substrates must be dry, smooth, level, free from contamination and sufficiently strong to fix the roof build-up. Acceptable types of roof deck are in-situ poured concrete, pre-cast concrete elements with and without pressure layer (screed), lightweight concrete slabs, profiled metal decks, sandwich panels and wooden decks (timber, plywood, OSB).

Please refer to the Installation Guidelines or the Technical Information Sheets for detailed information.
