Insulation is the most practical and cost-effective way to make buildings more energy-efficient. By keeping them cooler in summer and warmer in winter, it provides substantial savings in heating and cooling costs. Proper thermal insulation is also one of the key requirements for passive buildings, a construction concept that aims at reducing a building’s overall ecological footprint.
 
Of the many different insulation products available on the market, rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) boards are among the most efficient in terms of thermal performance per millimeter. This means that a thin and lightweight PIR board can achieve an insulation value equivalent to other thicker, heavier insulation products.

Floor insulation is key to ensure a comfortable indoor climate, whatever the temperature outside. Elevate RESISTA AK is a high performance PIR insulation board laminated on both sides to a gastight multi-layered aluminium-kraft (AK) facer. Boards are 600 x 1,200 mm and are available flat with straight edges, in thicknesses ranging from 20 to 100 mm. The printed grid facer facilitates cutting and installation.
 
RESISTA AK offers excellent and permanent thermal resistance, dimensional stability and compressive strength. This guarantees lasting, superior thermal insulation performance.
 
Compared to other floor insulation products in the market, only a very thin layer of RESISTA AK is needed to stop ascending cold and achieve a high thermal value, which translates into more space inside the building.

PACKAGING

RESISTA AK insulation boards are typically sold in bundles composed of a number of boards dependent upon their thickness. Bundles are protected by a plastic shrink wrap.
