GeoSmart EPDM is a durable, reliable and efficient synthetic rubber geomembrane for water containment in environmental protection, agricultural and industrial applications. Its formulation provides high resistance to UV radiation, ozone, microorganisms and extreme temperatures, ensuring outstanding longevity with minimal maintenance, whether left exposed or covered.
Extremely flexible even at -45 °C, GeoSmart EPDM can elongate over 300% in all directions without cracking, adapting to different shapes and the movements of the support, while resisting punctures. Available in large panels (up to 15 m wide x 60 m long), which significantly reduces the number of on-site seams. Panels can be assembled with Elevate’s strong, quick and durable QuickSeam Tape system, which requires no specialized equipment.
Durable
Resistant to UV radiation, ozone, microorganisms and extreme weather conditions, GeoSmart EPDM does not contain antioxidants that can migrate and cause its premature aging. The membrane retains its physical and mechanical properties over several decades and requires minimal maintenance.
Flexible and elastic
GeoSmart EPDM can be elongated over 300% in all directions without cracking. It remains flexible throughout its service life, even at temperatures as low as -45 °C.
High puncture resistance
GeoSmart EPDM withstands mechanical stresses during installation and service, and consequently guarantees the long-term watertightness of the lining system.
High friction angle
The high friction angle of GeroSmart EPDM reduces the risk of accidents caused by slipping.
Low thermal expansion coefficient
GeoSmart EPDM has a very low thermal expansion/retraction factor, which significantly reduces waving during installation (important for seaming) and the risk of tensions on details at cold temperatures.
Easy to install and repair
GeoSmart EPDM is available in large panels, minimizing the amount of on-site seams. The membrane’s exceptional flexibility and seaming method ensure quick and easy installation and repair, even after decades of use.
Strong seams
Strong and durable field seams can be easily carried out with our QuickSeam Tape system. The quality of the seams can be tested by a variety of destructive and non-destructive methods (visual inspection, vacuum chamber, air lance, etc.)
Self-extinguishing
GeoSmart EPDM has a high ignition temperature and stops burning when the heat source is removed. This is a major advantage for applications such as canals and landfill covers.
Environmentally friendly
Chemically stable, GeoSmart EPDM does not release pollutants into the air or in the water. Its exceptional durability and ease of repair further reduces its environmental impact.
