Lingle Avenue Elementary School
Palmyra, Pennsylvania
Located in Palmyra, Penn., the newly constructed Lingle Avenue Elementary School is the newest kindergarten through fifth grade school to be added to the Palmyra Area School District. This 105,000-square-foot structure was specified with multiple Elevate Roofing Systems (formerly Elevate roofing systems) and took a 12-person roofing crew over four months to complete.
On the flat roof section of the school, 22,000 square feet of fully-adhered, 90-mil RubberGard EPDM was installed over DensDeck Prime and Elevate ISO 95+ GL polyiso insulation. The EPDM roof was warranted with a 30-year Platinum warranty. AnchorGard Platinum was also installed at the perimeter of the EPDM-roofed areas. Approximately 85,000 square feet of 22-gauge UC-3 Double-Lock Standing Seam roofing system was also installed over ISO 95+ GL polyiso insulation, Elevate HailGard and Elevate CLAD-GARD SA, which provided an ideal moisture barrier between the insulation and the adjacent metal roofing panels. 9,500 square feet of 22-gauge UC-500 Lap Seam Wall Panels were installed on the school.
Now complete, this premier elementary school is applying for LEED certification and showcases the districts first kindergarten center, including two large classroom pods (groups of eight classrooms) with large group-instruction areas. The rest of the building hosts multi-purpose rooms, a gymnasium, a library, nurses suite and administration offices.
