As the saying goes, "where there is a will, there is a way". In times of Corona virus travel restrictions, the installation support from Elevate technicians takes shape through digital channels. Florian Meidhof, owner of German carpentry company Meidhof Zimmerei, experienced firsthand how the Elevate team improvised so that his project could be completed on time.

Florian Meidhof is an ambitious Elevate contractor. His team has attended several Elevate trainings and his company has been certified by Elevate. Among the projects that his company has already completed with Elevate’s RubberGard EPDM roofing membrane is the waterproofing of the 1,000 m² roof of a bio market in Linsengericht, using the mechanically attached RMA system.
His current project consisted in waterproofing the roof of the new family house of a personal friend, which is currently under construction. It was a friendship service and also a matter of honor that the roof could be finished as soon as possible.
Elevate’s RESISTA AK PIR tapered insulation boards were installed on a roof area of about 350 m². Meidhof had had good experiences with the RMA system, but was of the opinion that "installing tapered insulation with RMA is a tedious puzzle game. You are always looking for the right screw." That is why he decided to first glue the insulation boards using Elevate’s TwinPack adhesive and then adhere the RubberGard EPDM membrane over the entire insulation layer. However, his team had not yet had the experience of carrying out both methods.
The necessary installation support came in an unconventional way, because Elevate’s technician was not able to travel to the construction site due to Corona virus restrictions. Instead, he sent pictures showing the correct use of the Vista Bond gluing cart and glue press. Both devices were borrowed for the construction site and delivery was organized by Elevate technicians via WhatsApp. In order to have them on site at the right time, they were safely handed over - like a baton - halfway between Elevate’s warehouse and the construction site. This enabled the work to be carried out promptly and professionally.
