Since the inclusion of the CSA A123.21 - Standard test Method for the Dynamic Wind Uplift Resistance of Membrane Roofing Systems in the National Building Code of Canada (NBCC), the standard has been widely used to regulate the installation of tested roofing assemblies. Wind loads for a roof system must be determined based on NBCC 2020, subsection 4.1.7. The National Research Council of Canada (NRCC) has also developed an online calculator to assist designers in obtaining wind loads easily. The calculator can be found here at NRC Canada online.
The tested roof assemblies according to CSA A123.21 must have a wind resistance higher than the wind loads determined as per above. Elevate is committed to growing its directory of tested assemblies while participating with the NRCC as part of the SIGDERS group to continuously develop the CSA A123.21 standard. Please find the guides to the most up to date Elevate tested assemblies for PVC, EPDM, TPO and SBS.
