Indiana Convention Center
Indianapolis, Indiana
Located just three blocks from the home of the NBAs Indiana Pacers in Indianapolis, Ind., the Indiana Convention Center recently completed its fourth expansion since opening in 1972.
As part of the convention centers expansion plans, the facility connected with the new Lucas Oil Stadium, home of the NFLs Indianapolis Colts, offering a total of 3.4 million square feet of exhibit and meeting space. An indoor, street level, climate-controlled pedestrian walkway links the convention center to the stadium. The expansion has made the Indiana Convention Center the nations 16th largest convention center, after previously being the 32nd largest complex.
The Indiana Convention Center features 490,000 square feet of new 60-mil fully-adhered Elevate RubberGard EPDM over 3 inches of Elevate ISO 95+ GL polyiso insulation, along with Dens Deck Prime Roof Guard. This roofing system was chosen because it provides a great roof application that complements the existing Elevate Roofing System (formerly Elevate roofing system). While the installation provided many challenges, including the buildings unusual roof shape and roof levels, difficult weather conditions and a busy location, the skilled workmanship of the contractor easily handled these challenges and completed the project on time.
The roof was installed by Hinshaw Roofing & Sheet Metal Co., Inc. and is protected by a Elevate Red Shield 10-year Warranty.
