Warwick Middle School
Lititz, Pennsylvania
In 2008, Warwick School District in Lititz, Pa. determined that most of its one-story Warwick Middle School building was damaged beyond cost-effective repair. Established in 1970, the school was demolished and reopened in February 2010 as a two-story building for its approximately 700 7th and 8th students. The gymnasium was the only part of the original building that was salvaged, although it was completely gutted and replaced with a new roof, interior and windows.
The contracting firm installed 32,100 square feet of Elevate UNA-CLAD UC-3 double-lock architectural series roofing system within a 12 week period. Teal and almond metal roofing panels were selected for the new roofing system. Elevate UNA-FAB Series 3000 Aluminum Plate Wall Panels were also installed.
In addition, 12,000 square feet of the existing roof was reroofed with a fully-adhered Elevate RubberGard EPDM Roofing System, with 82,700 square feet of new EPDM roof also installed. This portion of the project was completed in approximately 13 weeks.
The Warwick Middle School features 126,800 square feet of Elevate Roofing Systems (formerly Elevate roofing systems) in total. The Elevate systems were chosen so that the entire roof could be covered under a single 20-Year Elevate Red Shield Warranty.
