See How Innovation Helped Provide More Coverage in Less Time, and Keep a Promise.
The Story.
“I can tell you that Holcim Building Envelope keeps pushing the envelope, and other manufacturers try to mimic what they do,” says roofing contractor, Dave Bieber, owner of M. Potteiger, Inc. (MPI). He should know. He has been a Elevate contractor since 1998.
MPI, a Elevate President’s Club member, has a history of quickly adapting new Elevate products. A case in point. MPI was awarded the roofing contract for the Lehigh Valley Crossing Building #1, a 400,000 square foot warehouse in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania. Specifications included RubberGardTM EPDM Fully Adhered membrane; ISO 95+TM GL Insulation and the recently introduced, RubberGard™ EPDM Solvent-Free Bonding Adhesive.
This product had a clear benefit for the Lehigh Valley job: Speed of Application.
Like most projects, to maintain strict construction time lines, MPI is often required to get the roof dried in as soon as possible so work can proceed inside the building without interruption.
“We are the critical link. So it’s crucial for us to get the roof laid as quickly as possible,” Bieber explained.
He had seen the new bonding adhesive demonstrated at a Elevate Master Contractor meeting. He saw the productivity potential. However, he and his crew had never used it on a job.
